Month of  August

August 4, 2008 E61-4 was dispatched to Crystal Lake for a structure fire E24 and L18 were first dispatched and put out the fire while E61-4 was in route and gave Chief 61 command. We were on scene with in minutes. All compaines returned to service a short time later. Companies on the box were E61-4, SQ62, E42, L58, T75, L18, T24, E24, E52, E41, R18, R51, R51-2. We had 10 men on the alarm.

August 6, 2008 E61-4 was dispatched to Fell Charter School on Main St. for an automatic alarm at 5:30am while the storms were in the area. EMS 51 on scene and reported nothing showing. So command 61 helded L58 at its present location. All companies returned a short time later. Companies on the box were E61-4, L58, R51, and EMS 51.

August 9, 2008 E61-4 dispatched to area 42 for a possible structure fire but all companies were put back inservice by command 42.

August 13, 2008 E61-4 was dispatched to River St. for an illegal burn. All units clear a short time later after the fire was out.

August 15, 2008 E61-4 was dispatched to Rt. 106 for a MVA rollover with injuries. E61-4 was first to arrive on scene and put up lighting and check the Pt also made sure their was no one else with the Pt. Fp 61 took care of traffie control While R51 and E61-4 took care of hazards. We had 10 men on the alarm.

August 17,2008 E61-4 was dispatched to Rt. 106 for a MVA motorcycle vs Truck head on. E61-4 scene for 4 hours along with R51 and BLS51 do to a double fatality. Before returning we had to hose down the road along with putting down dry chem. We had 7 men on the alarm.

Auguest 17, 2008 E61-4 and E61-3 were dispatched to 16 Rittenhouse St. for a working Chimney Fire. E61-4 first on scene put a ladder to the roof with a hose line and put every little water into the chimney. Found out that the home owner was burnning paper inside of his chimney. While we were scene of the chimney fire are thrid alarm MVA bow was hit for a child hit by a car on 800 Main St in Simpson. Companies on the box were E61-4, E61-3, SQ62, E42, R51, R41, L51, E51, BLS51 and T75 on the move up. We had 10 men on the alarm.

Auguest 18, 2008 Firepolice 61 was dispatched back to Rt. 106 by PSP for the reconstruction of the motorcycle vs truck accident the night before. We had 4 men on the alarm.

Auguest 19, 2008 E61-4 was dispatched to Rt.171 and Buffulo Rd. for a two car MVA with minor injuries. E61-4 and R51 took care of hazards. While FP61 took care of traffic control. We had 8 men on the alarm.
